Omniscope 2.5 for Salesforce

Install the free Viewer with 30-day free Omniscope trial

New in version 2.5 - Direct Connector & Synchronisation with Salesforce

Install Omniscope 2.5 and use the Salesforce direct connector to:

  • Access, better visualise, and save refreshable offline copies of Reports,
  • Add/edit data in Data Objects/Tables offline in Omniscope,
  • Synchronise all user-editable changes with Salesforce when online,
  • Create complex formulae and alerts in portable offline reports,
  • Perform unlimited, multi-criteria joins using Salesforce Data Objects,
  • Merge large non-Salesforce data sets with Salesforce data,
  • Produce highly visual, tabbed, easily-shared and refreshable presentations,
  • Post interactive Flash DataPlayers on web tabs visible through Omniscope Web Views
  • Apply multiple layers of access control and file security to offline files

Unlike spreadsheets, there are many file security options to control access to compact, portable Omniscope files. Data cannot be copied or cut-and-pasted from locked files, and if the Omniscope file is also domain locked, ex-employees whose login credentials are revoked will not be able to openl copies of Omniscope files they may have saved or forwarded.

Exportable Flash 'dashboards' and free Omniscope Viewers dramatically reduce the average cost/seat of deploying highly-visual, granular and refreshable offline data integration, data-scrubbing and business intelligence reporting for Salesforce.

Using Omniscope with Salesforce

To access your Salesforce data directly from Omniscope, go:
File > Open online source > Salesforce table/report and login in with your Salesforce User ID, password and security token.

Files modified and saved using the free trial activated version can be posted as templates for future use accessible to all Salesforce users from the free Visokio Reports tab installed from the AppExchange by the Salesforce Administrator.

Technical details

Omniscope is a Java desktop application for in-memory data management and visualisation. The default "full" Windows installer includes a private copy of Java which (if needed) is installed alongside Omniscope, isolated from other installed applications.

If you already have Java 5 or later, or have previously installed Omniscope, you can select the lightweight Windows download. Using the latest version of Java is highly recommended - download here.

Omniscope .IOK/.IOM files are a highly compressed, interactive visual format for distributing your data, with integrated filters, views and report tabs.

Publishable .IOK files can be viewed and queried using the free Viewer.
Shareable .IOM Workgroup files can be opened only by activated Omniscopes.
